Academic Year and Registration

Dear Erasmus Incoming Students,

The Erasmus Office will be organizing several registration meetings between January 23rd and February 3rd. All Erasmus Incoming Students must make an appointment to attend these meetings in C/Viana 50, working days, from 10:00 to 13:00.

Any information regarding Welcome Day, the Spanish language course, and other issues, will be soon updated on our website.

• The Academic year is divided into two semesters, with two teaching periods each. The first semester starts on September 9^th 2011 and ends on January 28^th 2012. The second semester begins on  January 30^th 2012  and lasts until July 31^st 2012. At the start of each semester an orientation week is organized.
   
   
• Students are recommended to arrive during the first week of September 2011 (fall) and the last week of January 2012 (spring) and to examine the academic calendar 2011/2012
   
• The registration period at the International Office is compulsory:
  -for first semester (fall) and whole year: from September 5^th 2011 to September 20^th 2011
  -for second semester (spring): from January 23^rd 2012 to February 3^rd 2012

The City Hall of La Laguna offers guided visits through the historic antique centre of the city, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. The AURI (University Association for International Relations) organizes a visit day for Erasmus students. If you are interested, please ask for it at our desk on Welcome Day.
