In order for the Research Ethics Committee to prepare a report on a research project the head researcher of the project must submit a standard request form and a copy of at least the following aspects of the research project to the Vice-Rectorate of Research and Technological Development: objectives, materials and methodology and, when necessary, the information given to the subjects or informed consent forms. In addition, the committee may request more information from the researchers whose projects have been submitted for evaluation.
Interested parties and requesting organisations will be notified of the reports prepared by the committee in the period of one month. This period may be reduced if the deadlines to submit projects in different ULL organisations require it, although the period will never be less than ten days. In exceptional cases that are duly justified, the President of the Commission can establish shorter periods.
The research documentation must be submitted to the Vice-Rectorate of Research and Technological Development and they may also be emailed to the Research Ethics Committee (cei@ull.es). In this case the head researcher will receive an automated response to his or her email and later an acknowledgement of receipt from the Secretary of the committee, with its registry number.
