| Breve currículo investigador: | Prof. Juan J. Trujillo is a full Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of La Laguna (Tenerife, Spain). He received his PhD degree in 1983 at the mentioned University. His main topic of interest is the theory and applications of the fractional differential equations, that is, in the modeling of the dynamics of processes through very complex media by the use of integral-differential operators involving convolution type kernels. He has been working in such topic during last 15 years with many contributions, which have received more than 7700 citations. He has been referee for more than 75 different JCR indexed Journal of different branches of the sciences and the engineering. He has attended many international Conferences and has been member of some of the scientific committee of international Conferences connected with his topic of work. Also he has visited many international research Centers in Europe, USA and Asia. He has more than 150 publications (from such publications, during last 5 years he has got 56 publications in JCR indexed Journal, and 39 of them (69%) in Journal classified in the first quarter position of such classification), including 3 books in collaboration, with more than 30 coauthors from different international groups of research. He has published in 40 different JCR Journals. He also is a member of the editorial board of 6 International Journals. Here we ought highlight the book “Theory and applications of fractional differential equations” published by Elsevier in 2006 (join to Professors Kilbas and Srivastava) which just now is a reference book in his area of research with more than 5000 citations during last 5 years. Finally we will mention that Prof. Trujillo has be the advisor of 4 PhD doctoral theses and is editor of 7 Journals, 3 of they indexed in JCR. On the other hand, he also has been the General Secretary and the Vice-Rector of research at the University of la Laguna.
