Challenges for sustainable mobility
The Chair of Economics and Mobility organized a series of events to celebrate European Mobility Week, which took place in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism. At this event, the book entitled "Challenges for Sustainable Mobility" was presented.«
The book was coordinated by Rosa Marina González Marrero, director of the chair, and written by researchers from the chair and external researchers. The volume compiles and expands upon the presentations given during the ULL Opina debate series session held on March 13, 2018. Participants included specialists not only from the University of La Laguna itself, but also from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, the University of Cantabria, and the Metropolitano de Tenerife company. Some of these experts are internationally renowned in the field of mobility, such as Juan de Dios Ortúzar. The book provides, on the one hand, specific studies on the case of Tenerife and, on the other, proposed actions drawn from proven experiences elsewhere. The result is a serious and rigorous study of the current situation and what can be done. This proposal is what we offer to society so that it can have a further basis for considering a problem that directly affects it.
