Some questions regarding mobility management
The director of the CajaCanarias-ULL Chair of Economics and Mobility participated on December 12, 2022, in the series "The Value of the Public Sector: 40 Years of Canary Islands Autonomy." This series was organized by the Royal Economic Society of Friends of the Country of Tenerife, and the presentation given by Ms. Rosa Marina González Marrero was titled: "Some Issues Regarding Mobility Management.".

Tribute at the University of La Laguna to the figure of Emilio Ontiveros
The CajaCanarias Chair of Economics and Mobility, the Department of Economics, Accounting and Finance, and the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism at the University of La Laguna organized an event to honor Emilio Ontiveros Baeza, founder and president of Analistas Financieros Internacionales (AFi), emeritus professor of Business Economics at the Autonomous University of Madrid, and member of EuropeG, who recently passed away. The event brought together several academic authorities, as well as renowned economists who remembered Ontiveros and highlighted his contributions.
The ceremony was opened by the Rector, Rosa María Aguilar, who recalled Ontiveros' exemplary career throughout his life, both in academia and business, while also highlighting his connection to the University of La Laguna. For his part, the Vice-Rector for Culture, Social Participation, and the Ofra and La Palma Campuses, Juan Albino Méndez, spoke, emphasizing the honoree's curriculum vitae and personality.
The event was introduced by Rosa Marina González, director of the organizing chair, who then gave the floor to the first speaker, Ángel Berges Lobera, Professor of Financial Economics and Accounting, member of AFi, and friend of Ontiveros. In his address, he recalled various facets of the honoree, especially his personal and human qualities, highlighting his worth and lamenting the irreparable loss of this great expert in Economics.

II Forum University of La Laguna International Day against Climate Change
The director of the Chair of Economics and Mobility, Rosa Marina González Marrero, presented a paper on climate change and mobility management at the second Forum organized by the University of La Laguna, in relation to the international day against Climate Change.

Sustainable urban mobility strategy
The chair's director participated in the Technical Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Strategy, held on October 18th at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife branch of the College of Civil Engineers, as part of the activities organized by the Santa Cruz City Council for European Mobility Week. The Transport Engineering Congress, to be held in June 2023 in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, was presented.

On September 30, the IX WORKSHOP “International Economics: Trade and Finance” took place in the Graduation Hall of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism of the University of La Laguna, organized by the CajaCanarias-University of La Laguna Chair of Economics and Mobility and with the collaboration of the University Institute of Regional Development and the Department of Economics, Accounting and Finance.

The reconquest of public space
Within the European Mobility Week The CajaCanarias Chair of Economics and Mobility at the University of La Laguna participated in the talk entitled "The Reconquest of Public Space" at the Guajara Building of the University of La Laguna. The discussion focused on mobility, sustainability, and public space in La Laguna, providing a platform for sharing common ground.
The speakers included: Rodrigo Vargas, architect; Yeray Hernández, PhD in Applied Economics from the University of La Laguna (ULL); Juan Samuel García, PhD in Geography from the ULL; and Henar Martín, civil engineer specializing in mobility. The event was moderated by Rosa Marina González, Director of the CajaCanarias-ULL Chair of Economics and Mobility.

Researching mobility at the ULL and presenting real case studies
Within the European Mobility Week The CajaCanarias Chair of Economics and Mobility at the University of La Laguna presented the conference "Researching Mobility at the ULL and Presentation of Real-World Case Studies." The conference aimed to showcase the research being conducted by doctoral students at the ULL related to transportation and mobility, and to present case studies related to the development of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans for various municipalities in the Canary Islands.

The XV Congress of Engineering and Transport, organized by the ULL and to be held in 2023, has been presented.
On September 19th, the presentation of the 15th Congress of Engineering and Transport (CIT2023) took place. The event is organized by the CajaCanarias Chair of Economics and Mobility and the University Institute of Regional Development at the University of La Laguna. This presentation was part of the activities offered by the La Laguna City Council's Department of Sustainable Mobility during European Mobility Week. The theme chosen by the European Commission for this campaign is "Better Connections," and its slogan is "Combine and Move." Those attending the presentation included Ms. Rosa Marina González Marrero, Director of the CajaCanarias Foundation-Tenerife Island Council Chair of Economics and Mobility; Mr. Ernesto Pereda de Pablo, Vice-Rector for Research at the University of La Laguna; and Mr. José Alberto León Alonso, Island Director of Mobility for the Tenerife Island Council.

Challenges of Urban Mobility
The Aula Magna of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism hosted the conference entitled “Challenges of Urban Mobility,” presented by Professor of Transport Andrés Monzón de Cáceres and organized by the CajaCanarias Foundation-ULL Chair of Economics and Mobility. This conference was held within the framework of XXXVI Business Week which was organized at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism during the days of April 27, 28 and 29.
