The future of the bicycle as a means of transport in the metropolitan area
The Aula Magna of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism of the University of La Laguna brings together political and technical representatives from different institutions in Tenerife, as well as other representatives of civil society, to participate in the round table “The future of the bicycle as a means of transport in the metropolitan area”.
The round table includes the island director of Development of the Tenerife Island Council, Miguel Becerra; the first deputy mayor with responsibilities for Citizen and Road Safety, Traffic Management and Mobility of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, Zaida Candelaria González; the tenured professor of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Finance of the ULL, Rosa Marina González Marrero; and the journalist, bicycle user and bicycle activist Nira Llarena.
The debate will be moderated by journalist Marlene Meneses and will be free and open to the public, although prior registration is required to manage capacity. Registration can be done using the form available at this link. link.
This activity is part of Sustainable Mobility Week, an initiative being held for the first time at the University of La Laguna (ULL), which includes various activities aimed at analyzing the current state of urban transport and proposing alternatives to cars. The culmination of these activities will be the third annual "University Bike Day," taking place on Saturday, April 16th, on the university's main campus.
