de investigaci\u00f3n. La primera est\u00e1 relacionada con la estimaci\u00f3n de la desigualdad de oportunidades (DO) de diferentes tipos de resultados de los individuos (renta, riqueza, educaci\u00f3n, salud, etc.), y desde diferentes disciplinas. La DO es la parte de la desigualdad que viene explicada por factores que est\u00e1n fuera del control de los individuos, como sus condiciones socioecon\u00f3micas, el g\u00e9nero, la raza, el lugar de nacimiento, etc.<br><br>En el CEDESOG hay expertos en m\u00e9todos cuantitativos (param\u00e9tricos, no-param\u00e9tricos) para estimar la DO. En la segunda \u00e1rea, los investigadores del centro estudian la relaci\u00f3n entre la desigualdad, la DO y el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico. M\u00e1s concretamente, existe un especial inter\u00e9s en medir esta relaci\u00f3n a nivel de grupos de pa\u00edses y estudiar los canales que generan esta relaci\u00f3n. Los investigadores del CEDESOG elaboraron el primer informe sobre DO en Canarias, que proviene del proyecto CSOCTRA07: \u201cDesigualdad de Oportunidades y Movilidad Intergeneracional en Canarias: incidencia de la inclusi\u00f3n laboral, la educaci\u00f3n y la salud\u201d, financiado por la Fundaci\u00f3n Caja Canarias.<br><br>Tambi\u00e9n han trabajado en proyectos de la Fundaci\u00f3n Ram\u00f3n Areces (Inequality of Opportunity in Europe and Spain: determinants and implications in the design of public policies) y, desde 2010, en proyectos de excelencia de I+D del Ministerio de Luchar contra las desigualdades educativas es luchar contra la desigualdad de oportunidades y contra la inmovilidad social. Los obst\u00e1culos que los individuos tienen a la hora de entrar en el mercado laboral tambi\u00e9n es un canal que afecta a la desigualad y a la movilidad. Un mercado laboral que favorezca la meritocracia y de las mismas oportunidades de entrada a todos favorecer\u00e1 una sociedad con mayor movilidad. En el CEDESOG tenemos a expertos en econom\u00eda y sociolog\u00eda de la educaci\u00f3n, pero tambi\u00e9n en desigualdad, los cuales son conceptos \u00edntimamente relacionados y son objetivo de este centro de estudios. Adem\u00e1s de m\u00faltiples contratos con la administraci\u00f3n p\u00fablica (el \u00faltimo con el ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz para analizar la desigualdad educativa en tiempo del Covid-19), los investigadores del CEDESOG han ganado proyectos muy importantes como un Agust\u00edn de Betancourt sobre equidad educativa, o un proyecto con el Centro de Investigaciones Sociol\u00f3gicas (CIS), que consisti\u00f3 en la realizaci\u00f3n de un M\u00f3dulo de Encuesta en el Centro de Investigaciones Sociol\u00f3gicas: \u00abDesigualdad social, movilidad intergeneracional y desigualdad de l\u00ednea de Gobernanza medioambiental y energ\u00e9tica tiene dos grandes \u00e1reas de especializaci\u00f3n dentro del CEDESOG. La primera es la que tiene como objetivo la gesti\u00f3n y planificaci\u00f3n de recursos naturales y en particular el nexo agua, alimentaci\u00f3n, Salud y Energ\u00eda. Para ello se integran metodolog\u00edas y herramientas desde las ciencias sociales como los procesos de inclusi\u00f3n participativa y el an\u00e1lisis institucional con t\u00e9cnicas de modelaci\u00f3n multicriterio. Se han aplicado estos enfoques en distintos proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n competitivos europeos tales como los Proyectos VALSE, VIRTUALIS y ADVISOR. En la actualidad se encuentran activamente implicados en el Proyecto MICROGRID-Blue. La segunda estudia la relaci\u00f3n entre gobernanza energ\u00e9tica, la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica y el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico. Se usan t\u00e9cnica de construcci\u00f3n de \u00edndices para sintetizar la informaci\u00f3n de legislaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica en indicadores de gobernanza energ\u00e9tica en pa\u00edses de la OCDE. Tambi\u00e9n se analiza en este entorno la relaci\u00f3n entre emisiones de CO2 y la energ\u00eda, concretamente el papel que los cambios en el mix energ\u00e9tico tiene sobre la generaci\u00f3n de emisiones de efecto de gases invernadero en general y en el sector transporte en particular. humano y por lo tanto, todas las personas deber\u00edan de gozar del mayor nivel de salud posible. Sin embargo, \u00e9sta va a estar condicionada por numerosos factores denominados determinantes sociales de la salud.<br><br>La Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud define los determinantes sociales como \u201clas circunstancias en que las personas nacen, crecen, trabajan, viven y envejecen, incluido el sistema sanitario\u201d. Disminuir las desigualdades en salud constituye una prioridad en la que est\u00e1n implicados todos los sectores sociales. Desde el CEDESOG trabajamos para mejorar la equidad y el bienestar de la poblaci\u00f3n desde diversos \u00e1mbitos, bajo una perspectiva interdisciplinar, intersectorial y multidimensional. En esta l\u00ednea de salud, desigualdad y desarrollo, investigadores del CEDESOG tambi\u00e9n trabajan en el an\u00e1lisis de la equidad y eficiencia en el Sistema Nacional de Salud (proyecto del Ministerio ECO2016-79588), funciones de bienestar social relacionadas con la salud, altruismo y bienes p\u00fablicos en salud, o an\u00e1lisis econ\u00f3mico del gasto p\u00fablico sanitario.<br><br>El grupo liderado por la profesora Gonzalez Lopez-ValcarcelL\u00f3pez (ULPGC) contribuye al dise\u00f1o de impuestos sobre bebidas azucaradas, a la evaluaci\u00f3n de programas de salud p\u00fablica y a dise\u00f1ar soluciones para el problema de las resistencias antimicrobianas en Europa (proyecto europeo que se iniciar\u00e1 en 2021). Tambi\u00e9n dise\u00f1an herramientas y modelos de planificaci\u00f3n de m\u00e9dicos y otros profesionales sanitarios capaces de anticiparse a las necesidades futuras es fundamental para la planificaci\u00f3n.<br><br>Por \u00faltimo, tambi\u00e9n hay una l\u00ednea muy activa de trabajo que analiza la salud, la salud infantil, la desigualdad y crecimiento econ\u00f3mico en Africa. Esta \u00faltima est\u00e1 enmarcada en un proyecto de I+D del Gobierno de Canarias ProID2017010088. \u00abClima, Salud y Malaria en \u00c1frica: impactos en Pobreza y Biodiversidad\u00bb, y de
