Courses

The Center for African Studies has among its tasks the organization of conferences, courses and seminars to publicize the reality of the African continent.

Permanent seminar on Africa

The Permanent Seminar on Africa aims to take advantage of any time of the year to serve as a platform to present different aspects of the African continent through talks, conferences, round tables and seminars.

The aim is to take advantage of specific opportunities for scholars and experts on the African continent who, for one reason or another, happen to be at the University of La Laguna or on our island (this can also be done via videoconference), as well as members of CEAULL or external individuals not necessarily affiliated with the university, to present the results of their research or projects. The seminar also proposes organizing roundtables to address and explain current events taking place in or related to the African continent.

Agreements between the University of La Laguna and African Universities

The University of La Laguna has long signed academic, research, and cooperation agreements with numerous African universities. The currently active agreements can be viewed here.

Collaborating entities and individuals

The Centre for African Studies draws its strength not only from the ULL faculty community, but also from other university bodies, students, and civil society organizations and individuals who regularly collaborate to achieve the Centre's objectives.

Other centers and research groups for African studies

In Europe, America, and Africa, there are numerous research centers and groups studying Africa. We provide links to them here.
