Appartenant \u00e0 la famille du c\u00e9leri, elle pousse principalement le long des c\u00f4tes insulaires. C&#039;est une plante herbac\u00e9e qui fleurit de d\u00e9cembre \u00e0 mai. Ses feuilles vertes et charnues se dess\u00e8chent durant l&#039;\u00e9t\u00e9 et disparaissent presque compl\u00e8tement pendant plusieurs mois de l&#039;ann\u00e9e. Ses petites fleurs jaunes sont regroup\u00e9es en petites inflorescences en forme d&#039;ombrelle, qui forment \u00e0 leur tour des inflorescences plus grandes et de forme similaire.
