Chaque femelle construit son propre nid, compos\u00e9 de quelques cellules ou chambres \u00e0 couvain. Dans chacune d&#039;elles, elle d\u00e9pose un \u0153uf, ainsi qu&#039;une boule de pollen et de nectar qui servira de nourriture \u00e0 la larve. Une grande partie des esp\u00e8ces d&#039;abeilles des \u00eeles Canaries vivent en solitaire.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/abejasdecanarias.wordpress.com\/2021\/04\/14\/la-vida-de-las-abejas-bajo-tus-pies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Il creuse ses nids dans le sol<\/a>, Ils nichent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement dans des sols plats et compact\u00e9s, d\u00e9pourvus de v\u00e9g\u00e9tation, ou sur des pentes verticales. D&#039;autres esp\u00e8ces installent leurs nids dans des cavit\u00e9s pr\u00e9existantes, comme des galeries creus\u00e9es par des insectes xylophages dans les troncs d&#039;arbres ou des morceaux de bois, des branches et des tiges creuses, ou m\u00eame des fissures dans les parois rocheuses. Pour les abeilles qui nichent au sol, nous am\u00e9nageons des zones d\u00e9gag\u00e9es de v\u00e9g\u00e9tation et bien ensoleill\u00e9es, tandis que pour les esp\u00e8ces qui nichent dans des cavit\u00e9s, nous installons des nichoirs artificiels, plac\u00e9s dans des endroits ensoleill\u00e9s expos\u00e9s au sud. \u00c0 l&#039;int\u00e9rieur, nous disposons des groupes de petits roseaux creux et des blocs de bois perc\u00e9s de trous de diam\u00e8tres vari\u00e9s (de 3 \u00e0 7 mm).\u00a0<br><br>Dans cette zone de nidification, nous pouvons observer l&#039;incessant va-et-vient d&#039;une colonie d&#039;abeilles affair\u00e9es, charg\u00e9es de provisions butin\u00e9es, ainsi que la construction de leurs nids.
