Nous allons ici aborder un processus que subissent de nombreuses esp\u00e8ces de notre flore.<br><br>Nous avons l&#039;habitude de voir des photos de paysages o\u00f9, \u00e0 l&#039;arriv\u00e9e de l&#039;automne, les arbres commencent \u00e0 se dess\u00e9cher pour se pr\u00e9parer aux rigueurs de l&#039;hiver et \u00e9viter le gel\u00a0; on les appelle des esp\u00e8ces \u00e0 feuilles caduques. Aux \u00eeles Canaries, les deux seules esp\u00e8ces qui subissent ce type de dormance sont\u2026\u00a0<em>Pistacia atlantica<\/em>\u00a0(Lis de semences) et\u00a0<em>Salix canariensis<\/em>\u00a0(Saule des Canaries), bien que m\u00eame ces deux arbres ne le compl\u00e8tent pas enti\u00e8rement.<br><br>Cependant, les esp\u00e8ces \u00e0 feuillage persistant, c&#039;est-\u00e0-dire celles qui ne sont pas \u00e0 feuilles caduques, entrent en dormance durant les mois d&#039;\u00e9t\u00e9, lorsque les conditions de s\u00e9cheresse, d&#039;ensoleillement intense et de vents forts sont les plus fortes. Sous l&#039;effet de ces facteurs, elles perdent leur feuillage, limitant ainsi l&#039;\u00e9vapotranspiration et \u00e9vitant la d\u00e9shydratation.<br><br>Il faut donc comprendre qu&#039;en \u00e9t\u00e9, la plupart des esp\u00e8ces qui composent ce parc seront en dormance estivale, ressemblant \u00e0 un jardin sec, mais non pas un jardin
