The Doctoral Programme in Law partially replaces and unifies two doctoral programmes, one still in force (Doctoral Programme in Regional Development) and another in discontinuation (Doctoral Programme in Law, Society and Tourism), and, for the first time since the Doctoral studies at ULL have been in existence, it brings together in a single programme most of the legal areas that make up the Degree in Law, thus responding to a long-felt need. The programme is supported by several consolidated research groups, characterised by a high scientific production and an important training capacity, and respects the peculiarities of legal research - both from the methodological point of view and in relation to the presentation of results - and is articulated in two major lines of research, Public Law and Private Law, which respond to the classic division in Law.
