  • An in-depth knowledge of French-language literature and culture both in France and in the Francophone countries

    • The ability to use computer tools, both audio-visual and bibliographic and to process and disseminate information
    • Excellent capacity in written and oral expression in Spanish

    Specific Skills
    • A knowledge of the French language from a normative, pragmatic and sociological perspective, with the aim of being able to communicate both orally and in written form
    • A knowledge of translation methodology (direct and inverse) in the French language with the aim of being able to translate different texts
    • A working knowledge of Francophone literature
    • A working knowledge of the history and culture of the Francophone countries
    • A working knowledge of the socio-economics of the francophone world
    • A knowledge of the geography of the francophone world
    • A working knowledge of the linguistic reality of contemporary Romanic Europe
    • A working knowledge of the cultural tradition of the western world
    • A knowledge of the main languages and artistic concepts from a historical perspective
    • A knowledge of the theoretical-practical keys to the main historical events
    • A knowledge of the heritage of the classical world in its various textual manifestations throughout time
    • A knowledge of the theoretical-practical keys of philosophical thinking
    • General knowledge of the principles of international relations
    • General knowledge of economic-trade relations
    • A general knowledge of development and co-operation policies
    • A knowledge of the intercultural relations between France and the Canary Islands
    • Ability to communicate in modern Arabic (MCER level A2) and understand Arab and Islamic cultural traditions
    • The ability to analyse, interpret and comment on various types of texts (socio-cultural, economic-commercial, formal, diplomatic, artistic, literary, etc.) both in French and Spanish
    • The ability to write reports and use different material resources (socio-cultural, economic-commercial, formal, diplomatic, artistic, literary etc.) both in French and Spanish
    • The ability to provide linguistic-cultural assistance and intervene by applying linguistic, literary and cultural knowledge in different spheres (administration, companies, trade unions, immigration, etc.)
    • The ability to organise tasks and design resources for linguistic and cultural integration
