One of the purposes of the own degrees is to contribute to lifelong learning,
from a university perspective. In this sense, the European Qualifications Framework (EQF
(in its acronym in English) constitutes a reference to promote lifelong learning. In
In accordance with this, the degree titles will guarantee, as a minimum, the following:
the following knowledge, skills and competences, corresponding to EQF level 6:
1. That students have advanced knowledge in a field of work or study
requiring a critical understanding of theories and principles.
2. That students demonstrate the mastery and innovative skills necessary to
solve complex and unpredictable problems in a specialized field of work or study.
3. That students know how to manage technical or professional activities or projects
complex, assuming responsibilities for decision-making in work contexts or
unpredictable studies.
4. That students are able to assume responsibilities with regard to
management of the professional development of individuals and groups.
The powers of this title are regulated by Order EDU/2648/2001, of October 23, and
are the following:
G1. Know the curricular contents of the modules related to teaching specialization
corresponding, as well as the body of knowledge surrounding the teaching and learning processes
respective learning, as well as knowing the professional world.
G2. Plan, develop and evaluate the teaching and learning process, enhancing processes
educational programs that facilitate the acquisition of the skills specific to the respective teachings,
taking into account the level and previous training of the students, as well as their orientation,
both individually and in collaboration with other teachers and professionals at the center.
G3. Search, obtain, process and communicate information, transform it into knowledge and apply it
in the teaching and learning processes in the modules or subjects of the
specialization completed.
G4. Know and use the different teaching resources available, especially those provided
by information and communication technologies.
G5. Specify the curriculum to be implemented in a teaching center by participating in the
collective planning of the same; developing and applying teaching methodologies both in groups and
personalized, adapted to the diversity of students.
G6. Design and develop learning spaces with special attention to equity, education
emotional and values, equality of rights and opportunities between men and women,
civic education, equal opportunities and non-discrimination on the grounds of disability,
universal accessibility and design for all and respect for human rights that facilitate
life in society, decision-making and building a sustainable future.
G7. Acquire strategies to stimulate student effort and promote their ability to
learn by themselves and with others, and develop thinking and decision-making skills that
facilitate personal autonomy, confidence and initiative.
G8. Know the processes of interaction and communication, master social skills and abilities
necessary to promote learning and coexistence, and to address problems of discipline and
conflict resolution.
G9. Design and carry out formal and non-formal activities that contribute to making the center a
place of participation and culture in the environment where it is located; develop the functions of
tutoring and guidance of students in a collaborative and coordinated manner; participating in the
evaluation, research and innovation of teaching and learning processes.
G10. Know the regulations and institutional organization of the educational system and improvement models
of quality with application to teaching centers.
G11. Know and analyze the historical characteristics of the teaching profession, its current situation,
perspectives and interrelation with the social reality of each era.
G12. Inform and advise the student about their teaching and learning process and about the
personal, academic and professional guidance, or where appropriate, to families.
G13. Identify and be able to respond to the needs of students with disabilities,
through the incorporation and application of measures and resources appropriate to each case.
And the specific competences:
CE1. Understand the characteristics of students, their social contexts, and motivations.
CE2. Understand the development of their personality and the possible dysfunctions that affect them.

CE7. Know and apply resources and strategies for information, tutoring and academic guidance and
professional.
CE8. Promote emotional education, values, and civic training.
CE9. Participate in the definition of the educational project and in the general activities of the center
taking into account criteria of quality improvement, attention to diversity, and problem prevention
of learning and coexistence.
CE10. Relate education to the environment and understand the educational function of the family and the
society, both in the acquisition of skills and learning and in education in the
respect for rights and freedoms, in equal rights and opportunities between men and women
women and in equal treatment and non-discrimination of people with disabilities.
