They will be able to access studies leading to obtaining their own degrees
of grade level students who meet the requirements for the
access to official university degree courses in accordance with the regulations that apply.
If the student does not meet the access requirements for official undergraduate degrees, the academic director of the degree may request the Vice-Rectorate responsible for managing official degrees to authorize such access, if any of the following situations occur:
a) Students who can demonstrate at least one year of work experience in the field of the degree they wish to pursue.
b) Students who have passed a specific test designed by the academic management of the degree, in cases where these types of tests have been provided, in which the student demonstrates that they possess the basic knowledge to be able to successfully complete the degree, in the degree application report.
c) Those who can prove they hold a foreign degree equivalent to the one required for Spanish students will also have access to studies leading to ULL's own undergraduate degrees. For this purpose, recognition of said degree is not required, but rather prior verification that it qualifies in the country that issued it for access to undergraduate studies.
As established in Article 7 of the University of La Laguna's Regulations for University-Specific Degrees, the admission process will be conducted through applications from interested parties, which will be processed by the ULL unit responsible for managing university-specific degrees. This unit will be responsible for verifying that applicants meet the admission requirements. Students who meet the corresponding requirements may access any university-specific degree at the undergraduate level, subject to admission by the Academic Committee of the degree.
The Academic Committee of the degree will assess the CV of pre-registered students to ensure that they are appropriately aligned with the academic and professional profile required for the University Diploma in Gastronomy and Food. To this end, the Academic Committee may conduct a personal interview with the pre-registered applicant and, where appropriate, may require a written test of theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of knowledge involved. The structure and content of the test will be approved by the Academic Committee of the degree itself, which will also be responsible for marking it, although it may delegate, if necessary, the preparation and marking of these entrance tests. The format, content, and evaluation criteria of the entrance tests will be made public well in advance of their implementation. In these cases, established in section 1, letter b) of article 6 of the Regulations for University of La Laguna's Own Degrees, the academic management of the Degree must communicate the results of the tests carried out to the ULL unit in charge of managing the own degrees.
Complete affinity: 3 points (University degrees in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, in Gastronomy and the Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Technology, as well as other related degrees from the ULL or other universities)
Partial affinity: up to 2 points (other university degrees and vocational training qualifications in the Hospitality and Tourism and Food Industries categories). Pre-registered applicants may be interviewed in person and, where appropriate, may be required to complete a written test of theoretical and practical knowledge in the relevant areas of knowledge. This test will demonstrate that they have the basic knowledge to successfully complete the degree. The academic committee will be responsible for preparing and evaluating this entrance exam, or for appointing a delegated committee to perform these functions in its absence.
In the event of a tie between candidates, after applying the criteria specified in the previous sections, A and B, those students with the same score must take a specific entrance test. The grade obtained in said test will determine the order of priority of each applicant on the final list of candidates.
Maximum total score: 10 points
