Competencies

Basic Skills

That students have demonstrated possession and understanding of knowledge in an area of study that builds upon general secondary education, and is usually found at a level that, while supported by advanced textbooks, also includes some aspects that involve knowledge from the forefront of their field of study.

That students know how to apply their knowledge to their work or vocation in a professional manner and possess the skills that are usually demonstrated through the development and defense of arguments and the resolution of problems within their area of study.

That students have the ability to gather and interpret relevant data (usually within their area of study) to make judgments that include reflection on relevant social, scientific, or ethical issues.

That students can transmit information, ideas, problems and solutions to both specialized and non-specialized audiences.

That students have developed the learning skills necessary to undertake further studies with a high degree of autonomy.

General Competencies

  • Design profitable business models based on the identification of innovative business ideas.
  • Apply the set of techniques necessary to develop entrepreneurial processes based on previously designed potentially profitable business models.
  • Acquire the social and personal skills necessary to implement entrepreneurial processes.

Specific Competencies

Design and test profitable business models based on the identification of innovative business ideas:

  • Understanding the current socio-economic context, the main global relationships and trends, and their impact on the development of new business activities and innovative business models.
  • To know and internalize the characteristics that the entrepreneur must have in this new competitive context.
  • To identify innovative business ideas based on problems, needs, or opportunities existing in the socio-economic environment.
  • To know, adopt and practice agile entrepreneurship methods that are best suited to current environments.
  • Design business models based on business ideas, identifying value propositions, potential customers, relationship scheme, distribution mechanisms, key resources and activities, partner network, and the profit equation.
  • Identify the main patterns of existing business models in the current competitive environment and develop innovative processes to adapt them to diverse contexts.
  • Develop and test the main hypotheses associated with the design of business models.
  • To predict the expected economic and financial benefits of a business model, based on the estimation of expected income and costs.
  • Design and/or prototype products and services under the Minimum Viable Product approach.
  • Develop approaches and strategies to scale the business.

Apply the set of techniques necessary to develop entrepreneurial processes based on previously designed potentially profitable business models:

  • To know and master the set of digital tools necessary for business and entrepreneurial management in the current competitive context.
  • Create and build your own knowledge network.
  • Plan, promote and manage projects, carrying out prospective analyses and formulating trends, mastering the appropriate techniques for this purpose.
  • Develop business internationalization processes, knowing the existing planning and support tools.
  • To know and develop the basic concepts of a marketing approach in business.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans.
  • To understand and apply to real contexts the main legal, organizational, fiscal and administrative aspects related to business activity.

Acquire the social and personal skills necessary to implement entrepreneurial processes:

Communicating decisions, projects and proposals in diverse contexts and through different media.

Knowing your own potential, distinguishing between strengths and weaknesses.

Self-assess entrepreneurial potential.

Manage individual and organizational learning processes and coordinate teamwork processes.

Master and apply techniques for stimulating and developing individual and group creativity.

Develop and apply strategic thinking.

To evaluate, from a critical perspective, the main ethical elements involved in business decision-making and apply them to diverse contexts.

To motivate oneself and others, constructively managing one's own emotions and conveying determination from a constructive leadership perspective.

Plan and carry out constructive negotiation processes.
