Overview
This micro-credential trains students in the use of interactive educational communication in university teaching, promoting experimentation with content editors to develop teaching resources independently and creatively. It also facilitates the use of content organization, management, and creation tools available at the University of La Laguna.
To train students in the potential of interactive educational communication in university teaching, experimenting with content editors in order to learn how to develop teaching resources using autonomously and creatively the different tools for organizing, managing and creating content available at the ULL.
It will be necessary:
- To hold an official Spanish university degree or another degree issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area that qualifies for access to master's studies.
- Holding a foreign degree issued by an educational system outside the EHEA. In this case, the academic director will issue a report to the Academic Committee, which will authorize or deny access without this implying validation or recognition for other purposes.
- Being a teaching and research staff member of the University of La Laguna.
- Be between 25 and 64 years of age on the date the training begins.
Academic program
The micro-credential focuses on the use of digital tools and platforms to create interactive and multimedia learning materials, as well as the organization and dissemination of these resources in institutional settings. The theoretical and practical content of the course includes:
- Web 2.0 and digital education.
- Interactive tutorial.
- Multimedia presentation.
- Video tutorial.
- Creation of interactive tutorials, knowledge capsules and multimedia resources for university teaching (e.g., dynamic presentations in Genially).
- Production of video lessons using tools such as Google Meet, YouTube, or specialized video recording and/or editing software.
- Use of institutional platforms (ULL.edu.es) for the storage, organization and dissemination of teaching materials (Drive, YouTube).
- Theoretical classes: expository, explanatory or demonstration sessions of the contents and knowledge.
- Practical classes: sessions of practical application of the content developed in the theoretical classes, through the resolution of exercises, problems or theoretical-practical scenarios.
- Seminars, workshops, or other complementary activities (discussion forums, simulations, etc.): monographic sessions that encourage student participation. These are supervised by the course instructors. • AF6: Assignment: preparation of a study, essay, paper, etc., proposed in the course, either individually or in a group, following established guidelines.
- Independent work: independent and self-regulated activity of the student based on the documentation and guidelines proposed in the subject, preparation of classes and exams, preparation of final reports, internship reports…
- Tutoring (individual, group…): activity in which the teaching staff attends to, facilitates and guides one or more students in the training process.
- Assessment: continuous assessment tests and final exams. Tests may be in person or online, and may be written, oral, or consist of practical exercises.
The methodology will be as follows:
• Lectures/expository method: presentation or explanation by the teaching staff.
•Individual work: individual preparation of assignments/projects/reports, portfolio, etc. •Personal study: preparation for tests, exams, etc.
• Assessment: written tests, oral tests, practical tests, …
• Tutoring: instruction period in which teachers and students interact with the aim of reviewing and discussing materials and topics presented in class.
• Active methodologies: cooperative learning, project-based learning, flipped classroom, service learning, game-based learning, case studies, problem solving… These are aimed at making learning a participatory process and are based on student agency.
The evaluation is continuous and is based on:
- Case studies, exercises and problems, in which students must apply the tools and resources worked on to design specific digital materials.
- Preparation of written works, memoirs, reports and projects (SE7) related to the creation of tutorials, video lessons and multimedia resources
- Creation of a portfolio or learning journal that compiles evidence of your progress and reflection on the use of tools for creating digital teaching materials
