Overview

This micro-credential enables participants to understand the elements, strategies, and modalities of digital teaching supported by educational technologies. It equips them to analyze and plan university teaching processes in virtual environments, understand the pedagogical potential of ICTs, and design virtual learning environments that align with educational objectives and student needs. Furthermore, it promotes the didactic use of digital resources and artificial intelligence in university teaching.

Goals

  • Understanding the elements, strategies, and modalities of digital teaching supported by educational technologies. 
  • Analyze and plan university teaching processes in virtual environments and digital classrooms. 
  • To understand the ways in which ICTs are used in university teaching and their pedagogical potential. 
  • Design and develop virtual learning environments that are consistent with the educational objectives and the needs of the students. 
  • To use digital resources and artificial intelligence in a didactic way in university teaching.

Access requirements

To access the microcredential, you will need to:

  1. To hold an official Spanish university degree or another degree issued by a higher education institution belonging to another Member State of the European Higher Education Area, which qualifies for access to master's level studies in that State. 
  2. Holding a degree issued by an educational system outside the European Higher Education Area without official recognition or a declaration of equivalence. In these cases, the academic director will submit a report to the Academic Committee, which will authorize or deny admission. Under no circumstances will authorization imply official recognition of the foreign degree, nor its recognition for any purpose other than pursuing postgraduate studies at the ULL.
  3. Students must be between 25 and 64 years old on the date the training begins.
  4. Being a teaching and research staff member of the University of La Laguna.

Methodology and activities

The training activities to be carried out during the delivery of the micro-credential will be: 

  • Practical classes: sessions of practical application of the content developed in the theoretical classes, through the resolution of exercises, problems or theoretical-practical scenarios.
  • Work: preparation of a study, essay, work… proposed in the subject, either individually or in a group following established guidelines.
  • Independent work: independent and self-regulated activity of the student based on the documentation and guidelines proposed in the subject, preparation of classes and exams, preparation of final reports, internship reports…
  • Presentations, debates and defenses of works and projects: activity through which students present works, exercises, projects… based on established criteria, demonstrating sufficiency and maturity in the acquisition of the planned competencies. 

Evaluation criteria

The microcredential will have an evaluation system (ES) based on the following assessment tests: 

  •  Objective tests (true/false, multiple choice, test type, completion, ordering, etc.): measurement instruments with closed answers that promote objectivity in correction. 
  • Written works, memoirs, internship reports, and projects: a document prepared on a topic or activity carried out, following the instructions established by the teaching staff.
