This microcredential comprehensively analyzes the obstacles, discrimination, and barriers faced by the trans population in accessing the healthcare system. It delves into their specific health needs—including endocrinological, surgical, and mental health care—and provides the essential theoretical knowledge for developing inclusive LGBTQIA+ healthcare protocols and environments.
Students must be between 25 and 64 years old on the date the training begins.
A university degree is not required to access this micro-credential. However, students wishing to access it must meet the following access requirements:
1. Basic concepts: gender dysphoria, transition, gender affirmation treatments
2. Specific health needs of trans people (mental health, hormone treatments, pre- and post-surgical care and reproductive-sexual health).
3. Institutional and professional discrimination.
4. Attention to specific populations: disability, trans minors and health in aging.
The methodology will be as follows:
