Applications for the implementation of new university-specific degrees must be submitted by the academic director of the program through the online process, addressed to the director of the Continuing Education Center. The application must be accompanied by the documentation approved by the University-Specific Degrees and Microcredentials Subcommittee for proposals to implement new university-specific degrees.
Proposals for private degrees that include a collaboration agreement or contract with other entities or institutions must state this in their application form. They may be submitted for processing prior to the signing of said agreement or contract. In any case, approval will be conditional upon the signing of the agreement or contract.
Applications for the implementation of new university-specific degrees may be submitted throughout the year, but always at least three academic months before the start of their teaching. These deadlines may be flexible provided the proposal is feasible.
The Committee on Own Teachings will take the following actions to examine the applications received:
a) They will be evaluated within the context of the ULL's strategy on lifelong learning, verifying that the proposal file is complete.
b) It will take into account the following requirements: social demand; suitability of academic content and faculty to the planned objectives; adequacy of the financial report and proposed resources; suitability of prices to the criteria established in the ULL budget; and other aspects that guarantee the quality of teaching.
c) It may request from the proponent any additional information it deems appropriate for a better consideration of the proposed teaching.
The Committee on Own Teachings, through a resolution, will approve or deny the proposals, the latter of which must be justified.
The proposals for newly implemented Postgraduate and Specific Training Degrees approved by the Committee on Own Teachings will be submitted by the President to the ULL Governing Council for final approval.
Prior to approval by the Governing Council, proposals for Continuing Education Master's programs will require a favorable report from the corresponding SGIC, which will be binding.
Subsequently, the final authorization agreement from the Governing Council must be sent to the Social Council, which must report on its implementation.
Applications for the continuation or reissue of university-specific degrees must be submitted by the academic director of the program through the procedure enabled for this purpose on the website, addressed to the director of the Continuing Education Center. The application must be accompanied by the documentation approved by the University-Specific Degrees Subcommittee for the authorization of the reissue of university-specific degrees.
Proposals for continuation may be submitted provided that the following conditions are met:
a) Have the approval of the Academic Commission of the teaching.
b) That there is no negative evaluation of the previous completed edition, according to the corresponding SGIC applicable, if applicable.
c) That there are no substantial modifications to the curriculum, in the terms provided for in article 71 of this regulation.
Otherwise, the proposed studies cannot be taught under the terms in which they were approved and must be processed as newly implemented degrees. In the event
If substantial modifications exist, the teachings will be considered extinct as provided for in article 74 of this regulation.
Proposals for private degrees that include a collaboration agreement or contract with other entities or institutions must state this in their proposal report. They may be submitted for processing prior to the signing of said agreement or contract. In any case, approval will be conditional upon the signing of the agreement or contract.
Applications for reissue of university-specific degrees may be submitted throughout the year, but always at least two academic months before the start of the program. These deadlines may be flexible if the proposal can be implemented.
Proposals for previously approved university-specific degrees that have not been taught for two consecutive academic years due to lack of demand or because they have been withdrawn by the management for any other unjustified reason will not be accepted.
The Subcommittee on University-Specific Degrees and Microcredentials of the University-Specific Teaching Commission is responsible for approving or denying the continuation or reissuance of a university-specific degree that has previously been approved by the Governing Council.
In order to approve or deny the continuation of an established degree, the Subcommittee on Degrees and Microcredentials will consider, at a minimum, the results of the evolution of its enrolment and the evaluation of its quality, its academic success rates, and whether it has been suspended, under the terms provided for in Article 73, on any occasion.
When a specific teaching presents non-substantial differences with respect to the version authorized by the Governing Council, in accordance with Article 71, it will be considered eligible for renewal.
