Competencies

Basic Competencies

  1. Possess and understand knowledge that provides a basis or opportunity for originality in the development and/or application of ideas, often in a research context.
  2. That students know how to apply the knowledge they have acquired and their problem-solving skills in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study.
  3. Students should be able to integrate knowledge and address the complexity of making judgments based on information that, while incomplete or limited, includes reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities associated with the application of their knowledge and judgments.
  4. Students should be able to communicate their conclusions—and the knowledge and underlying reasons that support them—to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous manner.
  5. That students possess the learning skills that allow them to continue studying in a manner that will be largely self-directed or autonomous.

General Competencies

  1. Understand what good governance is and compare it with the current realities of the distortion of the exercise of power and the decline of the democratic concept.
  2. Apply the acquired knowledge and problem-solving skills to specific interventions specific to your professional profile.
  3. Instill a deontological commitment to the moral duties and obligations of public management and political commitments, both in relation to one's own work and that of the rest of the professional community.
  4. To achieve a global perspective on governance modes that enables students to fully understand the political and social mechanisms that generate and maintain them.
  5. Respond effectively to the needs of civil society through the professional practice of their training profile.

Specific competencies

  1. Communicate orally and in writing in an orderly and clear manner on issues related to management and political decisions.
  2. Examine alternatives and make decisions.
  3. Analyze and synthesize information.

  5. Work as a team and communicate in multidisciplinary groups.
  6. Making judgments based on criteria, external standards, or personal reflections.
  7. Recognition of diversity and multiculturalism and their social consequences.

  9. Develop a critical and creative spirit when studying public policies.
  10. Provide a basic understanding of the legislation, structure, operation, and regulations of legal and administrative institutions, as well as the scenarios, agents, protocols, and contexts that characterize public management.
  11. Acquire a comprehensive and integrated view of public policies, their effects, and their social consequences.
  12. Understand the precedents of the current situation and the loss of credibility of political parties and the social demands for their democratization and transparency.
