University Expert in Emerging Viruses

This degree fills a significant training gap in the educational system, updating existing knowledge by introducing the latest and most relevant research results on viruses and emerging viral diseases, and bringing the most innovative diagnostic techniques (genetic sequencing) closer to the people in charge of these tasks at the HUNSC and the ITER Genomics Division, with whom we have been cooperating since the beginning of this SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 crisis with the first patient diagnosed in all of Spain, the patient from La Gomera, at the end of January 2020.
