Master's Degree in Continuing Education in Life Care (Thanatology)

Specific competencies

CE1. Ability to initiate research projects and define the context and variables involved in a research design in the field of thanatology.

CE2. Ability to lead, direct, and coordinate institutions and teams in the field of end-of-life care.

CE3. Ability to respond to the needs of patients at the end of life by planning, providing, and evaluating the most appropriate individualized care programs, in conjunction with the primary caregiver, family, and other healthcare or social workers.

CE4. Ability to work in the field of end-of-life care within a professional context of ethics and regulatory and legal codes, recognizing and responding to ethical or moral dilemmas and issues in daily practice and addressing cultural diversity.

CE5. Knowledge of the Ethical Codes and Legislation that regulate the right to a dignified death in Spain, Europe, and America.

CE6. Within the clinical and community context of end-of-life and bereavement care: ability to educate, facilitate, supervise, and support patients and their families.

CE7. Manage, design, and participate in innovative pedagogical programs in Thanatological Education.

CE8. Ability to inform, educate, and communicate appropriately with terminally ill patients, their families, and communities.

Internship Competencies:

CE9 PE. Develop acquired instrumental skills.

CE10 PE. Know institutions, organizations, and companies linked to the area of end-of-life care, dying, and death.
