The University of La Laguna has had a virtual campus since the 2005-2006 academic year and has developed Virtual Teaching Pilot Projects, establishing that a maximum of 301 TP3T of face-to-face teaching and/or tutoring sessions may be conducted virtually, through the virtual classrooms available for each subject. In the 2007-2008 academic year, a total of 251 TP3T of teaching staff participated in the pilot projects, in addition to virtual classrooms for research projects, its own postgraduate programs, training plans for teaching staff and administrative and service staff, and other activities. Therefore, some activities for some subjects may be conducted in a blended learning environment.

Students must apply for a place on a separate dual bachelor's degree program through university pre-registration. The cut-off mark for admission to a dual bachelor's degree in a given academic year cannot, under any circumstances, be lower than the cut-off mark for admission to each of the bachelor's degrees included in the dual degree.

The places offered under this category are for the general quota (bachelor's degree and advanced vocational training) and are reserved for applicants with a Baccalaureate degree with an EBAU (Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Training) or an official higher vocational training certificate or equivalent. However, the provisions of Royal Decree 534/2024, of June 11, will be observed for quotas for people with disabilities and high-level or high-performance athletes.

The Double Degree qualification consists of 372 ECTS credits, which each student must complete and pass to obtain the degree.

Rules of stay

To remain enrolled in the Dual Degree Program, students must complete at least 36 credits of the credits they enrolled in for the first time. If they fail to complete these credits, they may continue pursuing both degrees outside the Dual Degree Program if they meet the requirements for simultaneous study.

In the event of withdrawal from the Program, the student will have the right to choose the degree they wish from among those included in the Program, once and provided they meet the requirement established by the University of La Laguna's Progress and Permanence Regulations for students who have completed their first enrollment. In these cases, the academic committee of the corresponding degree will make the appropriate recognitions, taking into account the table of recognition of subjects or blocks of subjects approved for the Program.

If a student withdraws from the Program voluntarily or for not meeting the requirements indicated in this article, they will not be able to re-enroll in the Program. Furthermore, withdrawal from the Program is understood to mean failure to enroll in two successive academic years..

If a student decides to withdraw from the Double Degree Program and continue only one of its component degrees, the decision will be considered irrevocable, although in subsequent years they may enroll as a continuing student in the other degree, provided they meet the minimum performance requirements set out in the Permanence and Progress Regulations or, otherwise, submit to the admission procedures.

Special Educational Needs

Since the 1999/2000 academic year, the Vice-Rector's Office for Students at the University of La Laguna has implemented the Program for Students with Disabilities. The program aims to ensure equal opportunities for students with disabilities and other students, integrating them into the University in all aspects affecting their studies and university life. To this end, a series of projects and initiatives are carried out annually, summarized as follows:

  • Inform and advise students who are planning to enter the ULL.
  • Conduct a census of students with disabilities studying at our University to ensure personalized attention.
  • Address students' integration problems, understand their needs, and respond to them.
  • Promote the elimination of architectural and communication barriers by conducting accessibility studies for university buildings.
  • Maintain direct contact and attention with all students who attend the Program.
  • Inform and advise teachers about their students' difficulties and the teaching methods that could overcome them.
  • Offer the technical aids needed by students with disabilities.
  • Provide information on qualifications, training courses, conferences, sports activities, and other activities related to the world of disability.
  • Promote and support associations among students with disabilities.
  • Conduct awareness-raising and training campaigns on disability issues aimed at the university community.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with institutions and organizations linked to the field of disability.
