In July 2026, coinciding with the institute&#039;s 20th anniversary, the Scientific Advisory Committee was renewed. The new SAC is composed of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Clara \u00c1lvarez Villamar\u00edn<\/strong> (Medical specialist in Endocrinology, Professor of Physiology, University of Santiago de Compostela; leading researcher of a group at the Singular Center for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases, CiMUS, Santiago de Compostela)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rafael Fern\u00e1ndez Chac\u00f3n<\/strong> (Professor of Physiology, University of Seville; Director of the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville, IBiS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Luis A.
