The ITB has competed in regional and national calls for scientific infrastructure for the equipment that allows the commissioning of the animal facility area, obtaining funding from the Canary Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society (ACIISI, Government of the Canary Islands).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Re-evaluation of the ITB&#039;s research program structure to adapt it to the Institute&#039;s current situation and promote synergy among research groups. In this regard, the elimination of the &quot;Drug Development and Identification of Therapeutic Targets&quot; program has been proposed, with the program being reorganized into three main research programs: 1) Genetic and rare diseases;
