Inicialmente desarrollada como una t\u00e9cnica diagn\u00f3stica para medir la excitabilidad y conectividad del tejido nervioso, y para el mapeo de las funciones cerebrales, la EMT gracias a su capacidad de modular la excitabilidad del tejido cerebral, parece tener un papel importante en el tratamiento de varias condiciones neuropsiqui\u00e1tricas. Cuando un grupo de neuronas dispuestas en la misma direcci\u00f3n disparan juntas generan una corriente el\u00e9ctrica que viaja a trav\u00e9s del cerebro, el cr\u00e1neo y el cuero cabelludo para salir al mundo exterior. Cuando hablamos de EEG, nos referimos a la representaci\u00f3n gr\u00e1fica de los cambios de voltaje generados por las corrientes el\u00e9ctricas desde la superficie de la cabeza.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nuestro laboratorio de EEG tienes dos equipos plenamente funcionales con amplificadores Synamps2 de Neuroscan, cada uno instalado en una habitaci\u00f3n diferente. Ambos equipos usan gorros Quick-Caps el\u00e1sticos de 70 canales de sensores.&nbsp; Usamos programas de presentaci\u00f3n de est\u00edmulos que recogen datos comportamentales; software E-prime, Presentation y Psychopy. Para la configuraci\u00f3n del registro de EEG se usa el software Scan Acquire. Los datos se preprocesan y analizan usando toolboxes como, Cartool, Fieldtrip, Brainstorm y scripts de elaboraci\u00f3n propia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entre las diferentes medidas con significaci\u00f3n fisiol\u00f3gica que se pueden extraer de un registro de EEG, los Potenciales Relacionados con Eventos (ERP) es posiblemente la m\u00e1s conocida en neurociencia cognitiva. Se utiliza en la investigaci\u00f3n del sistema visual, en psicolog\u00eda, en ling\u00fc\u00edstica cognitiva y en el dise\u00f1o de productos.&nbsp;<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los datos de seguimiento ocular se recopilan utilizando un \u00abseguimiento ocular\u00bb remoto o montado en la cabeza, y conectado a un ordenador. Los rastreadores oculares no intrusivos, generalmente incluyen dos componentes comunes: una fuente de luz y una c\u00e1mara. La fuente de luz (generalmente infrarroja) se dirige hacia el ojo. La c\u00e1mara rastrea el reflejo de la fuente de luz junto con las caracter\u00edsticas oculares visibles, como la pupila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Estos datos se utilizan para extrapolar la rotaci\u00f3n del ojo y la direcci\u00f3n de la mirada.
