This is why we invite everyone to participate in a virtual female editathon to edit the biographies of those women scientists who had a gender perspective. The physical exhibition, which comes from the University of Seville and is placed on the first floor of the Economy, Business and Tourism Department, will be displayed throughout the entire program period. Its objective is to make every economist women who has contributed significantly to economic knowledge visible. Este a\u00f1o, en Tenerife, tendr\u00e1 lugar el viernes, 3 de abril de 2020, celebrando as\u00ed su quinta edici\u00f3n, en formato online, v\u00eda YouTube, a partir de las 18.00 horas, en el canal Women Techmakers Tenerife.<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo de este proyecto se centrar\u00e1 no solo en la necesidad de incrementar el n\u00famero de mujeres en STEM, esto es, ciencia, tecnolog\u00eda, ingenier\u00eda y matem\u00e1ticas, sino tambi\u00e9n en la gran utilidad del correcto uso y desarrollo de las tecnolog\u00edas en tiempos dif\u00edciles como los que corren.<\/p>\n<p>De esta manera, en torno al evento Women Techmakers Tenerife se reunir\u00e1n 10 ponentes, mujeres vinculadas a las \u00e1reas de la ingenier\u00eda, las matem\u00e1ticas, la divulgaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y la ciencia. The Female computers of World War II<\/a>\u00ab, filmed in 2010 and directed by LeAnn Erickson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The film is focused on recognizing the contribution of these <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">women during World War II, serving as <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">human computers, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">six of whom moved to program one of the first computers ever, the ENIAC. Their work helped <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the United States to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">improve the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">precision of the arms <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as well as most of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the ballistics <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">analysis that were carried out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The screening will <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">be in the original version with Spanish <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">subtitles.
