Cooperation Strategy, approved by the Governing Council Agreement of June 7, 2021, aims to be both a tool for coordinating the University Development Cooperation (CUD) actions that predate its drafting, and for planning future actions, providing them with coherent lines of action and objectives that must necessarily be aligned with community, national, and local policies in this area, without losing sight of the interests and sensitivities of our university community.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-03ca3c7\" data-block-id=\"03ca3c7\"><style>.stk-03ca3c7 .stk-block-text__text{color:#ffffff !important;}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text has-text-color\">In drafting it, which benefited from the advice of experts from both the institution itself and external experts, we analyzed the actions we already had underway and tried to integrate them into a more ambitious framework, simultaneously analyzing the strengths and weaknesses that limit our possibilities for action, always with an eye toward ways to overcome these weaknesses.<br>In terms of training, the goal of achieving student specialization in the CUD is particularly important, through two lines of action: promoting the development of final projects, master&#039;s thesis, and doctoral programs that serve as a seed for future lines of research in this field; and developing a catalog of subjects from current curricula with CUD content to propose possible changes to these curricula, with the goal of creating specialties within certain degrees.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-19b3d6e\" data-block-id=\"19b3d6e\"><style>.stk-19b3d6e .stk-block-text__text{color:#ffffff !important;}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text has-text-color\">This strategy was created as a working tool for the vice-rector&#039;s office itself. We hope to submit it, in the medium term, to a broad debate that will allow us to develop an instrument that connects and engages the entire university community.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div Administrations, Non-Governmental Development Organizations, and other social stakeholders of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands in cooperation policies to be implemented in developing proper implementation of recommendations issued by international organizations on development cooperation; proposing criteria for joint action in the event of disasters and emergencies; promoting coordination between the Canary Islands&#039; public administrations and between them and the various social stakeholders involved in development cooperation;<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div
