The Credit Recognition and Transfer system will be carried out in accordance with the current regulations established in the Regulations for the Recognition, Adaptation and Transfer of Credits of the University of La Laguna.
Article 3 of the Regulations establishes the definitions of recognition and transfer of credits. Credit recognition is understood as the acceptance of credits obtained in official courses at the same or another university or from Higher Grade Vocational Training, academic activities or validation of work or professional experience, for their computation towards the purpose of obtaining an official degree from the University of La Laguna.
Credit transfer is understood as the recording in the official academic documents of the University of La Laguna accrediting the studies followed by each student of all the credits obtained in official studies previously taken, at the same or another university, which have not been recognized or have not led to the obtaining of an official degree.
Chapter II of the Regulations defines the rules for the recognition and transfer of credits. As applicable to Master's studies, Article 4 establishes the following rules:
The Regulation provides, in application of current legislation, the recognition of up to 15% of the total credits of the degree for previous professional experience or for subjects included in specific postgraduate degrees. However, this possibility of recognition is not considered in the Master in Management of Marine Technologies.
