Planning the teaching involves the structuring of content, systems and methodologies that make it possible to acquire the knowledge, capacities, abilities and basic skills necessary for students to be able to develop their activity in any of the lines specified in the professional profile defined for the degree.
The curriculum, structured into modules/subjects and courses, is based on the regulatory framework for the organization and verification of official university education—Royal Decree 1393/2007—and the guidelines developed by the University of La Laguna.
In the first semester, in addition to the required subjects, students must take an optional subject from those offered that semester. For an entry profile for an industrial engineering graduate, the recommendation is to take at least one of the following subjects: "Computer Communications Networks" and "Information Systems in Industrial Environments." For an entry profile for a computer engineering graduate, the recommendation is to take at least one of the following subjects: "Industrial Automation" and "Control Technology."
In the second semester, students will take a set of elective subjects from among those offered in the second semester for the chosen specialisation, in order to complete the 21 elective credits required to obtain the degree. It is not possible to take elective subjects chosen from different specialisations. In addition, they will take the subjects “Internships in companies” and “Master's Final Project” at the university that offers the chosen specialisation.
* It is recommended to choose at least 1 option from among the 4 offered.
** Students will take: 3-7 electives from a single pathway (UDC offers 14, ULL 13 and UEX 13) depending on the electives chosen in the first semester (they must take a total of 21 credits of electives between both semesters)
