The Computational Thinking Cultural Center, in collaboration with the Higher School of Engineering and Technology of the University of La Laguna, is organizing the 5th Santa Cruz de Tenerife Computer Science Olympiad (OITF). This is an individual algorithmic programming competition in which students must solve as many problems as possible in the shortest amount of time, using the C++ or Python programming languages.

The Olympiad is aimed at students of Secondary, Baccalaureate or Vocational Training of Intermediate Level (or equivalent) enrolled in educational centers in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and whose age does not exceed 20 years on July 1 of the year of the current edition (2027).

This event aims to foster interest in computer science and programming among students in our province. Furthermore, the competition will serve to select the representative who, along with the winner of the Las Palmas Olympiad (OILP), will represent the Canary Islands at the 31st Spanish Informatics Olympiad (OIE), which will take place in the Balearic Islands in April 2027.

The event will be held in person on Friday, January 22, 2027, at the Higher School of Engineering and Technology (ESIT) of the University of La Laguna. The Olympiad will take place in the ESIT Computing Center from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
