The Physics Students' Congress (COEFIS), which will take place on April 9 and 10, 2026 in the Physics and Mathematics building, belonging to the Faculty of Sciences of the University of La Laguna, is an initiative proposed and organized exclusively by Physics Degree students, intended for those people (belonging or not to the university environment) who feel curiosity and interest in Physics and want to expand their scientific training and find new opportunities in the work and academic field.<\/p>\n
COEFIS was created by and for students as an event offering undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students the opportunity to attend lectures by various national and international scientists and researchers, as well as by their peers who also give their own presentations. It is organized by undergraduate students who coordinate the activity with support from faculty, the dean's office, and the Canary Islands Institute of Astrophysics.<\/p>\n
COEFIS pursues a general objective: to create an environment in which the student can meet, learn and interact with the different participants to grow as a person and as a future
\nprofessional. This objective brings with it the possibility that not only students of the Physics Degree, but also any other student (university and non-university) or person outside the academic world, can enjoy an environment in which research and innovation are on everyone's lips.<\/p>\n
