Thousands of people will have the opportunity to enjoy a day in the field, accompanied by geologists. The 50 scheduled excursions will be completely free and open to everyone, regardless of their prior knowledge of geology. The University of La Laguna is heavily involved in this event, with activities on several islands.<\/p>\n<p>During Geolod\u00eda Fuerteventura 26, we will be hiking along the west coast of Fuerteventura between Aju\u00ed and Caleta de la Cruz. We will meet at the Puerto del Rosario Bus Station at 9:00 AM on May 10th. From there, we will travel by bus to Aju\u00ed and begin a hike (approximately 7 kilometers), finishing in the early afternoon (around 3:00 PM). The route presents some challenges in certain areas. It is advisable to consult the organizers regarding this.<\/p>\n<p>With the help of Juan Miguel Torres Cabrera, Candelaria Mart\u00edn Luis, Margarita Jambrina Enrique and Ram\u00f3n Casillas Ruiz, we will carry out a thorough observation of the characteristics of these rock materials and, like detectives of the past, we will try to establish the most probable &quot;crime scene&quot; of this moment in the history of the Island.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum number of participants will be 80 people. We will have 4 groups of 20 people each.
