The University of La Laguna and the community STARS EU<\/a> They are organizing the presentation of the Living Lab for Circular Economy, which will take place next Monday, November 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Rectors' Hall of the University of La Laguna and online.<\/p>\n

The Circular Economy Living Lab (CELL) is an interregional open innovation platform coordinated by the University of La Laguna within the framework of STARS EU. It serves as a space for meeting, learning, and innovation at the regional and European levels. Through collaboration, hands-on experimentation, and knowledge sharing, the Living Lab brings together academia, public administrations, industry, and civil society to find practical solutions to real-world problems in our society. CELL focuses on three strategic sectors with significant potential to drive the transition to a circular economy: tourism, construction, and agriculture.<\/p>\n

This event is held with the aim of presenting the interregional Living Lab initiative, publicizing its program of activities, and sharing achievements and challenges in addressing the transformation from linear consumption and production models to circular and lower impact models.<\/p>\n

We are at a point where simply producing and consuming more is no longer enough; we need to move towards a model where resources are used more efficiently, waste is transformed into new opportunities, and innovation allows us to create value in a more sustainable and responsible way. The circular economy represents precisely this shift in perspective: moving from a model based on use and disposal to one that focuses on reducing, reusing, repairing, transforming, and regenerating.<\/p>\n

This Living Lab is an opportunity to share experiences, learn about new initiatives, and, above all, build connections that allow us to turn ideas into concrete actions. Because the transition to a more circular economy doesn't depend solely on businesses, institutions, or citizens; it depends on everyone's collaboration.<\/p>\n
