Exhibition by Bernardo Garc\u00eda Morales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bernardo Garc\u00eda Morales&#039;s pictorial work explores the intrinsic beauty of natural matter and its ability to become landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Close to informalism and linked to the modern tradition of Canarian art, its practice is based on a process that is both rational and intuitive, in which each material conditions the final form of the work.<\/p>\n<p>Branches, bark, leaves, stones, shells, sand and earth, collected in different places in the Canary Islands, are transferred to the canvas preserving the traces of their origin and their transformation over time.<\/p>\n<p>Painting does not hide nature, but rather unifies and reveals it: beneath pictorial surfaces and elements, irregularities, reliefs and recesses acquire a new visual and tactile intensity.<\/p>\n<p>While some pieces remain almost like tree, bark or territory; others evoke unexpected landscapes, arising from the juxtaposition of found elements.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition thus proposes a careful look at what usually goes unnoticed: the capacity of the humblest matter to contain memory, beauty and mystery.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La obra pict\u00f3rica de Bernardo Garc\u00eda Morales explora la belleza intr\u00ednseca de la materia natural y su capacidad para convertirse en paisaje.
