El\u017cbieta Wojaczy\u0144ska de la Universidad de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda de Wroc\u0142aw, titulada \u00abChiral 2-Azabicycloalkane Derivatives. Synthesis and Applications\u00bb. La ponencia se desarrollar\u00e1 en el Sal\u00f3n de Actos del IUBO-AG el d\u00eda 26 de febrero a las 11:00h. La Prof. El\u017cbieta Wojaczy\u0144ska obtuvo su M.Sc. Eng. en qu\u00edmica org\u00e1nica en la Universidad de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda de Wroc\u0142aw en 1997 y su doctorado en 2001, centrado en sulf\u00f3xidos quirales. Se habilit\u00f3 en 2014 y fue nombrada profesora titular en 2023. Su investigaci\u00f3n se enfoca en la s\u00edntesis de bloques de construcci\u00f3n quirales, ligandos y catalizadores para s\u00edntesis asim\u00e9trica y aplicaciones biom\u00e9dicas. Ha publicado unos 50 art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos, tres cap\u00edtulos de libros y m\u00e1s de 20 patentes. Adem\u00e1s, ha ocupado cargos acad\u00e9micos y organizativos clave, como Coordinadora del Festival de Ciencia de Baja Silesia y editora asociada de Chemical Papers. Tambi\u00e9n ha contribuido a la educaci\u00f3n en qu\u00edmica y participa activamente en la red internacional SeS Redox and Catalysis.<\/p>\n<p>The Instituto Universitario de Bio-Org\u00e1nica Antonio Gonz\u00e1lez continues its 2025 \u201cDistinguished Lectures\u201d series with a talk by Dr. El\u017cbieta Wojaczy\u0144ska from Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology, titled \u00abChiral 2-Azabicycloalkane Derivatives. Synthesis and Applications.\u00bb The lecture will take place in the Lecture Hall of IUBO-AG on 26th February at 11:00h. Prof. El\u017cbieta Wojaczy\u0144ska obtained her M.Sc. Eng. in organic chemistry from Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology in 1997 and her Ph.D. in 2001, focusing on chiral sulfoxides. She earned her habilitation in 2014 and was appointed full professor in 2023. Her research focuses on the synthesis of chiral building blocks, ligands, and catalysts for asymmetric synthesis and biomedical applications. She has published around 50 scientific articles, three book chapters, and over 20 patents. Additionally, she has held key academic and organizational roles, such as Coordinator of the Lower Silesian Science Festival and Associate Editor of Chemical Papers.
