El programa de Seminarios de Investigaci\u00f3n ITB 2025 contin\u00faa el martes d\u00eda 2 de diciembre a las 13:00 h con un seminario del Dr. Jordi Torres Rosell, que impartir\u00e1 la charla \u00abSMC5\/6 in action: from fork remodelling to chromosome disjunction\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Jordi Torres Rosell es profesor en la Universitat de Lleida e investigador principal en el IRBLleida, donde lidera el grupo de \u00abCiclo Celular\u00bb. Su trabajo se centra en c\u00f3mo las c\u00e9lulas mantienen la estabilidad del genoma durante la divisi\u00f3n, estudiando la funci\u00f3n de los complejos SMC en la replicaci\u00f3n y segregaci\u00f3n cromos\u00f3mica, as\u00ed como su regulaci\u00f3n por SUMO y ubiquitina. El grupo combina modelos de l\u00edneas celulares humanas y levadura para comprender los mecanismos cuya alteraci\u00f3n provoca inestabilidad gen\u00f3mica y puede contribuir al desarrollo del c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n
