Ha impartido docencia de\u00a0 arqueolog\u00eda y prehistoria en la licenciatura de Historia y en el Grado de Historia, as\u00ed como en distintos m\u00e1steres (Arqueolog\u00eda, \u00c1frica) y programas de doctorado. Desde el a\u00f1o 2002 coordina un grupo de investigaci\u00f3n de car\u00e1cter interdisciplinar sobre Bioantropolog\u00eda, que aborda tem\u00e1ticas sobre Arqueolog\u00eda Funeraria, Paleopatolog\u00eda, Antropolog\u00eda Dental,\u00a0 Paleonutrici\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de Paleogen\u00f3mica (ADN antiguo). Su actividad investigadora la ha desarrollado fundamentalmente en los campos de la Antropolog\u00eda F\u00edsica, la Arqueolog\u00eda del\u00a0 Territorio y la Arqueolog\u00eda Hist\u00f3rica.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tras los estudios de especializaci\u00f3n en 1978 de Antropolog\u00eda F\u00edsica en la Universidad de Hamburgo, ha mantenido con continuidad una l\u00ednea de estudios relacionados con la\u00a0 caracterizaci\u00f3n bioantropol\u00f3gica tanto de las poblaciones prehist\u00f3ricas como hist\u00f3ricas, con\u00a0 especial atenci\u00f3n al an\u00e1lisis de la forma de vida de las sociedades abor\u00edgenes de Canarias.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">En 1993 y 1995 coordin\u00f3 las excavaciones arqueol\u00f3gicas llevadas a cabo en el subsuelo de la\u00a0 Iglesia de Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de La Concepci\u00f3n de Santa Cruz de Tenerife (cementerio del siglo\u00a0 XVIII). Los resultados de esas intervenciones han servido para abrir distintas l\u00edneas de\u00a0 investigaci\u00f3n pioneras en Canarias sobre Arqueolog\u00eda Hist\u00f3rica.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">En el campo de la Arqueolog\u00eda del Territorio sus investigaciones se han centrado en los\u00a0 estudios arqueol\u00f3gicos de la alta monta\u00f1a de Tenerife (Las Ca\u00f1adas, Parque Nacional del\u00a0 Teide). Ha sido responsable de la coordinaci\u00f3n de los distintos inventarios realizados en colaboraci\u00f3n con la administraci\u00f3n del Parque Nacional, participando en la gesti\u00f3n y difusi\u00f3n\u00a0 de su patrimonio arqueol\u00f3gico. Ha dirigido distintos proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n y ha sido\u00a0 coordinadora cient\u00edfica de numerosas intervenciones arqueol\u00f3gicas en yacimientos de especial\u00a0 relevancia, como las canteras taller de molinos de mano guanche.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">En todas las l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n cuenta con publicaciones nacionales e internacionales, proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n competitivos, as\u00ed como direcci\u00f3n de tesis doctorales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=\u00bb<strong>Departamento<\/strong>\u00bb font_container=\u00bbtag:h4|text_align:left|color:%23535968&#8243;
