En 2014 fue contratada como investigadora postdoctoral en la Universidad de La Laguna, combinando actividades de investigaci\u00f3n en el campo de la biodiversidad de ara\u00f1as y especies invasoras, con docencia en grado y m\u00e1ster. En 2015 fue contratada como t\u00e9cnico en la Universitat de Barcelona, para realizar varias tareas relacionadas con laboratorio molecular, cosupervisi\u00f3n de estudiantes de grado y m\u00e1ster. En 2016 fue beneficiaria de un contrato postdoctoral Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie en el Museo de Historia Natural (University of Helsinki) y el IPNA (CSIC), trabajando en un proyecto que trata de desvelar los patrones que generan la biodiversidad en diferentes ecosistemas y \u00e1reas biogeogr\u00e1ficas (islas vs. continentes) analizando los diferentes componentes de la biodiversidad: taxon\u00f3mica (TD), filogen\u00e9tica (PD) y funcional (FD), utilizando las ara\u00f1as como modelo de estudio. A finales del 2019 se incorpor\u00f3 con un Contrato Laboral de Interinidad en la Universidad de La Laguna, y en 2021 obtuvo un contrato como Investigadora Viera y Clavijo realizando tareas de investigaci\u00f3n y docencia en la ULL. Actualmente es Profesora Ayudante Doctora en el Departamento de Biolog\u00eda Animal, Edafolog\u00eda y Geolog\u00eda (ULL) e imparte docencia en el Grado en Biolog\u00eda, Grado de Ciencias Ambientales y M\u00e1ster en Biolog\u00eda Marina, Biodiversidad y Conservaci\u00f3n. Asimismo, ha participado en docencia en cursos y m\u00e1ster internacionales en la Universidad de Helsinki.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Por otro lado, Nuria forma parte del grupo de investigaci\u00f3n Sistem\u00e1tica, Biogeograf\u00eda y Evoluci\u00f3n de artr\u00f3podos de Canarias de la ULL. Su investigaci\u00f3n se centra en el estudio de la biodiversidad, evoluci\u00f3n, taxonom\u00eda, filogenia y conservaci\u00f3n de ara\u00f1as en la Macaronesia. Tambi\u00e9n colabora con el Servicio de Biodiversidad del Gobierno de Canarias (en el seguimiento de especies amenazadas e invasoras), para ayudar a implementar estrategias de conservaci\u00f3n; forma parte de los grupos de expertos de la IUCN SSC Mid-Atlantic Island Invertebrates Specialist Group (MAIISG) y el Spider and Scorpions Specialist Group (SSC), y cuenta con experiencia en la evaluaci\u00f3n de especies amenazadas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Como resultado de su investigaci\u00f3n ha publicado 32 contribuciones cient\u00edficas, 6 cap\u00edtulos de libro, varios art\u00edculos de divulgaci\u00f3n, y 14 informes cient\u00edficos en el campo de la biolog\u00eda. Ha participado en 19 proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n nacionales, 5 internacionales, y 15 regionales. Tambi\u00e9n cuenta con la participaci\u00f3n en 27 congresos internacionales y 17 nacionales, y la organizaci\u00f3n un congreso internacional.
