Su ac\u00adtividad investigadora se ha centrado en el an\u00e1lisis de la historia contempor\u00e1nea de Espa\u00f1a desde el enfoque de historia de las mujeres y del g\u00e9nero. Entre otras cuestiones, ha explorado la movilizaci\u00f3n cat\u00f3lica femenina en Espa\u00f1a durante el primer tercio del siglo XX (<em>Paradojas de la ortodoxia. Pol\u00edtica de masas y militancia cat\u00f3lica femenina en Es\u00adpa\u00f1a (1919-1939)<\/em>, 2003; \u201cCitizenship and Female Catholic Militancy in 1920s Spain\u201d, <em>Gender &amp; History <\/em>2007), la construcci\u00f3n del estado-naci\u00f3n contempor\u00e1neo incorporando un enfoque de g\u00e9nero (\u00abGender and the Spanish Nation\u00bb, 2017), las conexiones entre feminismo y naci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola (\u00bfQu\u00e9 mujeres para qu\u00e9 Espa\u00f1a?: feminidad y naci\u00f3n en el feminismo espa\u00f1ol (1900-1923)\u00bb) y las nociones de g\u00e9nero en los or\u00edgenes del estado del bienestar en Espa\u00f1a (\u201cG\u00e9nero y reforma social en Espa\u00f1a: en torno a la elaboraci\u00f3n del Seguro Obligatorio de Maternidad (1915-1929)\u00bb, 2016). Ha coordinado el volumen colectivo <em>Mujeres, hombres y catolicismo en la Espa\u00f1a contempor\u00e1nea. Nuevas visiones desde la his\u00adtoria <\/em>(2018), con el prop\u00f3sito de contribuir a los debates suscitados en torno a la relaci\u00f3n entre g\u00e9nero y catolicismo (feminizaci\u00f3n, re-masculinizaci\u00f3n, etc.) en la Europa contempor\u00e1nea. Recientemente, ha reflexionado acerca del concepto g\u00e9nero para el an\u00e1lisis hist\u00f3rico y ha analizado las transformaciones que ha experimentado la historia de las mujeres y del g\u00e9nero en las dos primeras d\u00e9cadas del siglo XXI (\u201cHistoria y g\u00e9nero: l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n y debates recientes en Europa y Norteam\u00e9rica\u201d, 2020; \u201cA vueltas con el g\u00e9nero: cr\u00edticas y debates actuales en la historiograf\u00eda feminista\u201d, 2020).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Toda esta investigaci\u00f3n la ha llevado a cabo a trav\u00e9s de su participaci\u00f3n en proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n y de la direcci\u00f3n del proyecto I+D \u201cCiudadan\u00eda social, estado de bienestar y g\u00e9nero en Espa\u00f1a. Nuevas aproximaciones desde la historia (1880- 1936)\u201d. En la actualidad participa en la COST Action \u201cWho Cares in Europe?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ha realizado labores de evaluaci\u00f3n para la Agencia Estatal de Investigaci\u00f3n y para diferentes revistas especializadas (<em>Ayer, Arenal, Historia y Pol\u00edtica, Historia Contempor\u00e1nea<\/em>, etc.). Ha realizado estancias de investigaci\u00f3n en la Universidad de Bolonia, Royal Holloway College (Londres), Columbia University, Rutgers University. Ha codirigido dos tesis doctorales y en este momento tutoriza a dos becarios de investigaci\u00f3n del Gobierno de Canarias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">En cuanto a su labor de gesti\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica, es miembro de la Comisi\u00f3n Acad\u00e9mica del M\u00e1ster Universitario en Estudios de G\u00e9nero y Pol\u00edticas de Igualdad (MUEGYPI) y del Programa de Doctorado DOCTESO. Asimismo, co-dirige la revista <em>Clepsydra. Revista Internacional de Estudios de G\u00e9nero y Teor\u00eda Feminista<\/em>, y es secretaria de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Historia Contempor\u00e1nea, as\u00ed como miembro del Consejo de Redacci\u00f3n de la <em>Revista Ayer<\/em>.
