Ingeniero de Telecomunicaciones desde 1989 por la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid, se doctor\u00f3 en F\u00edsicas en el a\u00f1o 2006 en la Universidad de La Laguna, con la tesis\u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Metodolog\u00eda e instrumentaci\u00f3n comparada para medida de funciones cerebrales y par\u00e1metros sangu\u00edneos<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, que analiza la Instrumentaci\u00f3n bio-m\u00e9dica aplicada a la neurociencia. Su docencia se ha centrado fundamentalmente en Instrumentaci\u00f3n Electr\u00f3nica, Instrumentaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica y Electr\u00f3nica de Potencia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pertenece desde 2001 al grupo de investigaci\u00f3n de Neuroqu\u00edmica y Neuroimagen en la ULL. Su investigaci\u00f3n ha estado orientada a la instrumentaci\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica para rob\u00f3tica (desarrollo de prototipos) y a la instrumentaci\u00f3n biom\u00e9dica. Ha publicado 22 art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos publicados en revistas internacionales de investigaci\u00f3n y cuenta con tres patentes de prototipos electr\u00f3nicos registradas en la oficina espa\u00f1ola de patentes y marcas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">En 2011 impuls\u00f3 una nueva l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n en la ULL, a trav\u00e9s de la cual estudia la meditaci\u00f3n desde el punto de vista de la neurociencia. Esta investigaci\u00f3n se realiza desde diferentes \u00e1ngulos o perspectivas neurocient\u00edficas: actividad neuronal, anatom\u00eda cerebral, c\u00f3mo las diferentes \u00e1reas del cerebro cooperan para establecer el estado de silencio mental, etc. Adem\u00e1s de otros cient\u00edficos de la ULL, en esta l\u00ednea colaboran cient\u00edficos de la Universidad Jaume I de Castell\u00f3n, el King\u2019s College de Londres y la University of California, San Diego.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ha estado vinculado a la Universidad de La Laguna desde 1992, cuando se incorpor\u00f3 como Director del Servicio Electr\u00f3nico de La ULL, servicio encargado de realizar prototipos y mantenimiento de equipos electr\u00f3nicos para los investigadores de la ULL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=\u00bb<strong>Departamento<\/strong>\u00bb font_container=\u00bbtag:h4|text_align:left|color:%23535968&#8243;
