Ha desempe\u00f1ado diversos cargos directivos en institutos de ense\u00f1anza secundaria. Asimismo, ha desarrollado funciones de coordinaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica en la Direcci\u00f3n General de Ordenaci\u00f3n, Innovaci\u00f3n y Promoci\u00f3n Educativa del Gobierno de Canarias vinculadas con el asesoramiento en diversos programas educativos, el desarrollo de curr\u00edculos y la formaci\u00f3n del profesorado.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Como profesor invitado con <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">venia docendi<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> ha impartido clases en el m\u00e1ster interuniversitario de Arqueolog\u00eda (ULPGC y ULL), en el m\u00e1ster Universitario de Estudios africanos (ULL), en el m\u00e1ster de Formaci\u00f3n del Profesorado (ULL) y en el grado de Historia (ULL). Tambi\u00e9n ha desempe\u00f1ado su docencia en los grados de Maestro\/a de Educaci\u00f3n Infantil y de Educaci\u00f3n Primaria desde 2017 hasta 2021. Actualmente es profesor del \u00e1rea de Prehistoria del Departamento de Geograf\u00eda e Historia de la Facultad de Humanidades en la ULL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Es miembro de los grupos de investigaci\u00f3n Cazadores-Recolectores Paleol\u00edticos y Arqueolog\u00eda del Territorio de la ULL. Se ha especializado en los estudios de industria l\u00edtica, dedic\u00e1ndose a rocas volc\u00e1nicas y particularmente a la obsidiana tallada en Canarias, as\u00ed como a la captaci\u00f3n y tecnolog\u00eda del s\u00edlex durante el Paleol\u00edtico medio. Tiene una dilatada experiencia en la coordinaci\u00f3n de equipos arqueol\u00f3gicos de campos en yacimientos de diversa cronolog\u00eda en Canarias, pen\u00ednsula ib\u00e9rica, Francia y Egipto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Durante la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada su investigaci\u00f3n se ha centrado en el Paleol\u00edtico medio, focaliz\u00e1ndose en el an\u00e1lisis del poblamiento Neandertal en la regi\u00f3n central del Mediterr\u00e1neo ib\u00e9rico, como doctor colaborador en diversos proyectos I+D+i y codirector de las excavaciones arqueol\u00f3gicas de El Salt y de el Abric del Pastor y de las Prospecciones arqueol\u00f3gicas en el Preb\u00e9tico alicantino. Asimismo, es miembro del equipo coordinador del proyecto Neanderthal Fire Technology, financiado por la Fundaci\u00f3n Leakey y destinado al an\u00e1lisis arqueol\u00f3gico y experimental de testimonios de combusti\u00f3n paleol\u00edticos. Ambos proyectos han proporcionado resultados de elevado inter\u00e9s, por lo que han sido objeto de publicaciones en revistas de impacto internacional.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">En el \u00e1mbito educativo ha centrado su trabajo en la did\u00e1ctica de la Historia, el desarrollo de metodolog\u00edas activas que favorecen el aprendizaje competencial y la educaci\u00f3n patrimonial.
