Sauer y C. Glacken. Por otro lado, Sabat\u00e9 ha desarrollado numerosos trabajos profesionales en el \u00e1mbito del desarrollo territorial y la ordenaci\u00f3n del territorio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sus principales l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n son la geograf\u00eda hist\u00f3rico-cultural y geograf\u00eda rural (con especial incidencia en el estudio de los agroecosistemas vern\u00e1culos) y procesos recientes y en curso de transformaci\u00f3n y reorganizaci\u00f3n del territorio de Canarias. Tambi\u00e9n se ha especializado en el estudio de la obra del ge\u00f3grafo radical Neil Smith, as\u00ed como en las implicaciones territoriales del proyecto art\u00edstico de C\u00e9sar Manrique.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Entre sus principales aportaciones se cuentan el discernimiento del modelo hist\u00f3rico de articulaci\u00f3n entre poblaci\u00f3n y territorio en Canarias (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Estrategia vern\u00e1cula de aprovechamiento vertical y m\u00faltiple<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">), as\u00ed como los procesos desplegados en el pasado por la poblaci\u00f3n campesina para hacer posible la reproducci\u00f3n social bajo fuertes restricciones sociales y ambientales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Es profesor del departamento de Geograf\u00eda e Historia de la ULL desde 1994. Adem\u00e1s, es coordinador de la Unidad de Docencia e Investigaci\u00f3n de Geograf\u00eda. Imparte asignaturas como Geograf\u00eda de Canarias y Geograf\u00eda del Mundo Actual en el\u00a0 grado de Geograf\u00eda y Ordenaci\u00f3n del Territorio de la ULL; y Participaci\u00f3n, Valor y Uso Social del Patrimonio Cultural en el M\u00e1ster sobre Uso y Gesti\u00f3n del Patrimonio Cultural de la ULL. Imparti\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n docencia en varios grados de Magisterio, Turismo y\u00a0 Administraci\u00f3n y Direcci\u00f3n de Empresas. Tambi\u00e9n ha publicado su investigaci\u00f3n en revistas acad\u00e9micas y de divulgaci\u00f3n, relacionadas con los temas de su especialidad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Desde los a\u00f1os 90 ha impartido m\u00e1s de 200 conferencias y participado en seminarios de car\u00e1cter cient\u00edfico o divulgativo sobre las materias objeto de su investigaci\u00f3n en distintos foros acad\u00e9micos, as\u00ed como de asociaciones de vecinos, culturales, ecologistas, etc. del archipi\u00e9lago canario. Tambi\u00e9n ha sido invitado a conferencias celebradas en Barcelona, Luxemburgo y Nouakchott (Mauritania).
