Obtuvo su t\u00edtulo de Doctora en 1997 en la misma universidad, con la tesis titulada \u201cDeterminaci\u00f3n de selenio y otros metales esenciales en leches\u201d, lo que refleja su dedicaci\u00f3n temprana al an\u00e1lisis de micronutrientes en productos l\u00e1cteos. Desde 1997 comenz\u00f3 su actividad docente e investigadora desde su incorporaci\u00f3n al cuerpo acad\u00e9mico primero en el departamento de Qu\u00edmica Anal\u00edtica, Nutrici\u00f3n y Bromatolog\u00eda y actualmente en el \u00e1rea de Nutrici\u00f3n y Bromatolog\u00eda del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica y Tecnolog\u00eda Farmac\u00e9utica de la Universidad de La\u202fLaguna (ULL).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Desde entonces, ha dedicado gran parte de su trayectoria profesional al estudio de la composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica, valor nutricional y la calidad de los alimentos locales producidos en Canarias de inter\u00e9s econ\u00f3mico y sociocultura, con especial atenci\u00f3n a los compuestos antioxidantes, los minerales esenciales, \u00e1cidos grasos, amino\u00e1cidos, la seguridad alimentaria y el desarrollo de productos agroalimentarios funcionales. Su experiencia se evidencia en su participaci\u00f3n en grupos de investigaci\u00f3n consolidados, como el Grupo Integrado de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda de los Alimentos y el Grupo de Nutrici\u00f3n, Alimentaci\u00f3n y Salud, ambos vinculados a la promoci\u00f3n de una alimentaci\u00f3n saludable y sostenible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Como docente, imparte asignaturas relacionadas con el \u00e1rea de Nutrici\u00f3n y Bromatolog\u00eda, en estudios de grado y m\u00e1ster, y ha colaborado en iniciativas institucionales para la orientaci\u00f3n y tutor\u00eda de estudiantes universitarios.
