Estudi\u00f3 la licenciatura en Ciencias Matem\u00e1ticas y en el a\u00f1o 1996 obtuvo su Doctorado en Inform\u00e1tica con el trabajo titulado \u00abDise\u00f1o e implementaci\u00f3n de Lenguajes orientados al Modelo PRAM\u00bb, relacionando lenguajes de programaci\u00f3n, compiladores y paralelismo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Como miembro del equipo investigador del proyecto MaLLBa (TIC99- 0754-C03-01) abord\u00f3 la paralelizaci\u00f3n de las t\u00e9cnicas algor\u00edtmicas: \u2018Divide y vencer\u00e1s\u2019 y \u2018Ramificaci\u00f3n y acotaci\u00f3n\u2019. Se inicia como investigadora responsable, por parte del equipo de la ULL, en el proyecto coordinado TRACER (TIC2002-04498-C05-05) donde se abord\u00f3 la resoluci\u00f3n de problemas complejos. Concretamente trabaj\u00f3 en la aceleraci\u00f3n de la resoluci\u00f3n del problema Corte Bidimensional con t\u00e9cnicas exactas y paralelas. El objetivo del proyecto coordinado OPLINK (TIN2005-08818-C04-04) fue la mejora de los resultados de problemas de comunicaciones. En MSTAR (TIN2008-06491-C04-02) se introdujo la posibilidad de resolver un problema directamente como multi-objetivo. La aglutinaci\u00f3n de la resoluci\u00f3n de problemas de optimizaci\u00f3n multi-obejtivo con t\u00e9cnicas paralelas y su posible generalizaci\u00f3n fue el objetivo principal del proyecto TOP (TIN2011-25448). En el proyecto TOMAS (TIN2016-78410-R) se aplicaron t\u00e9cnicas de optimizaci\u00f3n meta-heur\u00edsticas para la planificaci\u00f3n eficiente de men\u00fas escolares. Esta investigaci\u00f3n ha dado lugar a la defensa de seis tesis doctorales, la publicaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de treinta art\u00edculos en revistas y cientos de actas de conferencias nacionales e internacionales. Colabor\u00f3 con el ICCA (Instituto Canario de Calidad Agroalimentaria) en el proyecto ECO-COMEDORES (20190020007550).
