Ha sido Directora del Departamento de Psicolog\u00eda Evolutiva y de la Educaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de La Laguna y miembro de la Comisi\u00f3n \u00c9tica de dicha Universidad.<br \/>\nHa recibido el <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">premio de investigaci\u00f3n\u00a0del\u00a0Instituto\u00a0Universitario\u00a0de\u00a0Estudios\u00a0de la\u00a0Mujer\u00a0de la ULL (2023).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Es coordinadora del grupo de expertos de varias universidades espa\u00f1olas asesor del Ministerio de Derechos Sociales y Agenda 2030 y de la Federaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Municipios y Provincias para la elaboraci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas de parentalidad positiva y formaci\u00f3n de profesionales <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.familiasenpositivo.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">www.familiasenpositivo.org<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Ha sido presidenta de la European Society of Developmental Psychology, ha coordinado la organizaci\u00f3n de numerosas conferencias Internacionales, algunas de las cuales se han llevado a cabo en la Comunidad Canaria como el XII European Conference on Developmental Psychology (2005) y la Winter School International para posgraduados sobre \u201cEvidence-based parenting programs to promote positive parenting (2011 en el Puerto de la Cruz) as\u00ed como la Pre-conference Workshop con el mismo tema en 2013 en Lausanne, Suiza).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ha publicado numerosos libros y cap\u00edtulos de libro en editoriales nacionales (vg., Familia y Desarrollo Humano; Contexto y Desarrollo Social; Preservaci\u00f3n Familiar, Manual Pr\u00e1ctico de Parentalidad Positiva) y cap\u00edtulos de libro en editoriales de prestigio internacional como Kluwer Academic Publishers, Masson, Psychology Press, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Routledge y ha participado en numerosos congresos nacionales e internacionales. Asimismo, ha publicado numerosos art\u00edculos en revistas cient\u00edficas especializadas, de \u00e1mbito internacional y ha participado en numerosos foros nacionales e internacionales relacionados con la investigaci\u00f3n en el campo de la educaci\u00f3n familiar. Todo ello le ha valido la evaluaci\u00f3n positiva de seis sexenios de investigaci\u00f3n por la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de Evaluaci\u00f3n. Participa como revisora cient\u00edfica en las revistas International Journal of Behavioral Development, European Journal of Cognitive Psychology, Current Psychology of Cognition, European Journal of Developmental Psychology, Children and Youth Services Review, Infant and Child Development, Infant Mental Health, European Psychologist, Frontiers in Psychology, Social Neuroscience, entre otras revistas nacionales e internacionales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Es miembro del Management Committee en el Proyecto europeo COST (European cooperation in science and techonology) CA18123: \u00abThe European Family Support network. A bottom-up, evidence-based and multidisplinary approach (2018-2023). Investigadora principal de distintos proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n del Plan Nacional I+D del Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovaci\u00f3n e Universidades en Espa\u00f1a y de la Direcci\u00f3n General de Universidades del Gobierno Aut\u00f3nomo de Canarias. Ha sido profesora visitante en las Universidades de Sussex (UK), Nijmegen (Holanda), Bologna (Italia), Friburg (Alemania) Genoa (Italy), Wisconsin (USA), Dalian (China) y ha recibido la distinci\u00f3n de Fellow por la Association for Psychological Science (APS). Revisora de proyectos de la ANEP, de la French National Research Agency (ANR), de la Israel Science Foundation (ISF), de la Portuguese Research Agency (PSF); y del Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Cient\u00edfico y Tecnol\u00f3gico de Chile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ha dise\u00f1ado e implementado desde el a\u00f1o 2000 numerosos programas psicoeducativos y comunitarios basados en evidencia destinados a promover la parentalidad positiva en familias en situaci\u00f3n de riesgo psicosocial y menores en riesgo psicosocial subvencionados por entidades tanto p\u00fablicas como privadas. Dichos programas se est\u00e1n llevando a cabo en varias Comunidades Aut\u00f3nomas y en numerosos ayuntamientos en Espa\u00f1a y actualmente tambi\u00e9n aplicados en Portugal y Brasil.
