Por todo ello ha formado parte de grupos expertos sobre el ruido marino de ACCOBAMS, ASCOBAMS, OSPAR y de los gobiernos de Nueva Zelanda, Reino Unido y Espa\u00f1a, as\u00ed como participado y liderado grupos de prevenci\u00f3n de colisiones en Nueva Zelanda y Canarias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Desde 2003 dirige un monitoreo estacional de cet\u00e1ceos en aguas de El Hierro (Canarias), destacando los estudios de zifios de Blainville y de Cuvier, que han proporcionado los primeros datos de buceo y vocalizaciones del primero para la ciencia. Este monitoreo a largo plazo ha permitido evaluar los efectos de la erupci\u00f3n volc\u00e1nica submarina de El Hierro sobre los cet\u00e1ceos, y obtener datos valiosos sobre par\u00e1metros de historia natural de los zifios, tales como edad de primera madurez sexual, intervalo entre cr\u00edas, supervivencia y din\u00e1mica poblacional, en un \u00e1rea semi-pristina donde se espera que estos par\u00e1metros sean gobernados principalmente por factores naturales de capacidad de carga del ecosistema.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=\u00bb<strong>Departamento<\/strong>\u00bb font_container=\u00bbtag:h4|text_align:left|color:%23535968&#8243;
