Cuando el feto empieza a habituarse a ciertos sonidos. Un m\u00e9todo que los humanos tenemos para\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">no sobresaltarnos con miedo ante cualquier est\u00edmulo. Nieves Luisa Gonz\u00e1lez, catedr\u00e1tica de Ginecolog\u00eda y Obstetricia,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">profesora e investigadora de la Universidad de La Laguna (ULL) y del Hos<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">pital Universitario de Canarias (HUC), ha dedicado pr\u00e1cticamente toda su\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">vida profesional en conocer c\u00f3mo funciona ese desarrollo primario en los\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">neonatos y c\u00f3mo cualquier alteraci\u00f3n durante el embarazo puede llegar a\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">afectar a su vida, incluso a largo plazo.<\/span><\/p><p><strong style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-family: var(--e-global-typography-text-font-family), Sans-serif;background-color: #d5f5d5\">\u00bfD\u00d3NDE QUED\u00d3 EL RECUERDO?<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p>Los primeros pasos de la l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n comienzan en los a\u00f1os 80.\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">\u201cVimos que los fetos eran capaces de habituarse a los sonidos y que te<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">n\u00edan memoria\u201d, explica la obstetricia. Lo descubrieron al ubicar dos grupos\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">de neonatos -uno que hab\u00eda recibido el est\u00edmulo durante el embarazo y\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">otro que no- en una piscina con condiciones similares a las de la placenta.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">\u201cLos ni\u00f1os estimulados intra\u00fatero pose\u00edan memoria y no respond\u00edan al\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">est\u00edmulo, mientras que los reci\u00e9n nacidos que nunca hab\u00edan lo hab\u00edan reci<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">bido, mostraban una respuesta refleja\u201d, afirma la experta.<\/span><\/p><p>A la vista de estos datos, los profesionales decidieron dar un paso m\u00e1s y\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">aplicar la misma experiencia a los ni\u00f1os de madres que padec\u00edan diabe<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">tes previamente. Los datos mostraron \u201calteraciones en la dificultad para\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">aprender intra\u00fatero de los fetos de las pacientes con peor control glu<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">c\u00e9mico\u201d. Gracias al apoyo del equipo de neuropediatras neonat\u00f3logos del HUC m\u00e1s tarde pudieron comprobar con\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">datos \u201cnum\u00e9ricos, grabados y analizables\u201d, que exist\u00eda un da\u00f1o en el ce<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">rebro, que provocaba \u201cuna diferencia madurativa\u201d de alrededor de dos\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">semanas con respecto a un reci\u00e9n nacido de la misma edad gestacional.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">Pero, \u00bfse trataba de un retraso madurativo o un da\u00f1o que persistir\u00eda a\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">largo plazo?
