lentamente y que fue contra<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">y\u00e9ndose debido a la atracci\u00f3n gravitatoria,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">aumentando as\u00ed su temperatura y su veloci<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">dad de rotaci\u00f3n. La mayor parte de la materia\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">se acumul\u00f3 en el centro de la nube formando\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">una protoestrella que pronto tendr\u00eda la capa<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">cidad de llevar a cabo reacciones termonu<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">cleares de fusi\u00f3n. Surgi\u00f3 as\u00ed el Sol, una estre<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">lla m\u00e1s bien modesta en comparaci\u00f3n con\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">otras, mucho m\u00e1s masivas.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">La acreci\u00f3n de peque\u00f1as cantidades de los\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">materiales m\u00e1s densos, que quedaron m\u00e1s\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">pr\u00f3ximos al centro de la nube, dio origen a\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">cuatro planetas rocosos: Mercurio, Venus,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">Tierra y Marte. Por su parte los materiales\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">m\u00e1s ligeros formaron dos gigantes gaseo<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">sos, J\u00fapiter y Saturno y dos mundos helados,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">Urano y Neptuno, por su mayor distancia a la\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">estrella. El Sistema Solar consta no obstante\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">de m\u00e1s miembros. Est\u00e1n los planetas enanos\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">(el degradado Plut\u00f3n, Ceres, Eris, Haumea y\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">Makemake), muchas lunas, que orbitan sobre\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">todo alrededor de J\u00fapiter y Saturno, asteroi<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">des y los cometas de la nube de Oort, que se\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">mueven en las proximidades del l\u00edmite exte<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">rior del Sistema Solar donde el Sol deja de\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">ejercer su dominio gravitatorio.<\/span><\/p><p>Nuestra estrella lleva produciendo ener g\u00eda radiante a expensas de su masa desde\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">entonces, sustentando la vida en la Tierra,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">siendo tambi\u00e9n en parte responsable del\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">modelado del relieve del planeta. Pero las\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">estrellas no son eternas; de hecho, algunas,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">como las gigantes azules, consumen su com<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">bustible nuclear (hidr\u00f3geno) en \u201ctan s\u00f3lo\u201d 10\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">millones de a\u00f1os para terminar su existencia\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">de forma violenta, con una gran explosi\u00f3n\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">conocida como supernova. En unos 5000 millones de a\u00f1os el Sol habr\u00e1\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">agotado el hidr\u00f3geno que le sirve de com<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">bustible, inici\u00e1ndose entonces la s\u00edntesis por\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">fusi\u00f3n de helio y de otros elementos qu\u00edmicos\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">m\u00e1s pesados. Su n\u00facleo se contraer\u00e1, pero\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">sus capas corticales se enfriar\u00e1n y expan<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">dir\u00e1n, transform\u00e1ndose en una gigante roja\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">que arrasar\u00e1 a los planetas m\u00e1s pr\u00f3ximos:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">Mercurio, Venus, la Tierra y quiz\u00e1s Marte.<\/span><\/p><p>Las altas temperaturas har\u00e1n que la vida en la Tierra no sea posible mucho tiempo antes de ese momento.
